I am very thankful that finally the school has ended. We had a wonderful graduation program yesterday and I was so thankful about it. We started our program with a “Thanksgiving Service”, thanking God for the school year, thanking Him about everything that have happened for school year 2011-2012. I was happy to see parents happily guiding their kids to their seats and also happy to see with their relatives with them.
The highlight of our program was on receiving of the awards. We are blessed because most of our students were on the honor roll. Their parents happily hand-in the award to their children. Aside from the academic awards, we also highlight the importance of “Character Awards”. Through this, children will not only strive to excel in academics but will also strive to be a child with excellence in character. In this way, the children will grow up to be responsible individuals and they will become a blessing to their family as well as their families.
The program ended with the children’s closing song, “A Kid’s Prayer”. I can’t help but be teary-eyed as I watched my students sing the song. The parents also approached me and expressed their thanks for everything I have done for their kids. The graduation program was truly a day full of thanksgiving.
