The Uninvited

My friend Sheryl invited me and the rest of my high school friends for a dinner early this evening. I was so happy with the invitation because I got to see my high school friends once again. I rarely see them because of our busy schedule and the dinner will be a good time to catch up with each other.

We were all there in a fancy restaurant when one high school common friend came. She was not our so called “barkada” but for courtesy sake we allowed her to join the dinner. We had a nice conversation with friends not until she came. She was shouting and laughing at loud in the restaurant that every people in there looked at us differently. I was a bit disappointed.

My friends suggested to transfer to another place so we can talk freely as the restuarant is getting too crowded. We transferred to a nearby open air restuarant where there’s a live music. While we were talking with our friends, the uninvited lady was talking to someone on the phone. She told us that the guys seated beside us at the restuarant would like to join us and she already invited them. Whaaaat???

I was totally disppointed and I stood up and immediately went home. The other girls were shock and I told them that I don’t like the idea. Some of my married friends was also disappointed with what happened because we have planned it to be an all-girl’s day out. I don’t know what happened to them after I left. I will find out tommorrow.
